MY PARAGON

My Humble pranams to all..!! After a long gap, I am back again with my blogging and this time with an interesting topic on who is my favorite role model? Its none other than Swami Vivekananda for being an inspiration to mankind. He taught us unconditional love and how to be a better person. I deeply resonate with all of his inspirational quotes and here is a few of them to which I connect the most. 1) “Take up one idea, make that idea your life, Think of it, dream of it and live on that idea, Let brain, muscle and nerve and every part of your body be full of that idea and just leave every other idea alone. This is way to SUCCESS.” 2) “You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself.” 3) “We are responsible for what we are and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves.  If what we are now has been the result of past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.” 4) "Fear is death, Fear is sin, fear is unrighteousness, fear is wrong life, all negative thoughts and ideas in this world have proceeded from this evil spirit of fear." 5) "Take risks in life, if you win you can lead, if you lose you can guide." Swamiji was just like a ball of fire and he could ignite minds with his spirit, energy, courage and motivation. He was a true patriot and Yogi and he has travelled all over the country with the quest for wisdom. Even today his words remain immortal and many people look up to him for the personality he was and ideals he taught. He rose to fame when he addressed the Parliament of world  religions in Chicago. He received a standing ovation for a scholarly but simple speech that could move masses and convince every soul. His spiritual Guru was Sri RamaKrishna Paramahamsa from whom he learnt that all livings beings are embodiment of divine self and therefore service to God could be rendered by service to humankind. Government of India honored Swami by constructing a memorial for him in Indian Ocean in Kanyakumari. His birthday, January 12th is declared as National Youth Day. He interpreted Hindu scriptures, philosophy and the way of our life to Western people and he regarded that practice of truth was the highest form of devotion. According to me everyone should ponder upon Vivekananda's mindset. He urged the young people of India to raise above mediocrity and no one can match his motivation for understanding humanity. He preached equality and reading his books alone  will make us all believe in success and achieve the same.
